Accounts Payable Assistant

RECfinancial are currently shortlisting exclusively for our Leicester based manufacturing business, for an Temporary full-time Accounts Payable Clerk role. This is an exciting opportunity to join this growing business.

Main role of Accounts Payable Clerk

Our role will be reporting into the Finance Manager working as a part of a larger team. The successful applicant will be required to ensure accurate and efficient costings and checking of invoices. Assist with payment runs via BACs and supplier statement reconciliations.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk

  • Assigns entries to correct accounts,  including invoices to purchase orders/committed costs
  • Account reconciliations
  • Process and procedure improvement
  • Able to raise month end payments
  • Ad hoc duties as required

Skills and experience:

  • Experience in a similar role desirable
  • Drive and enthusiasm
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self–disciplined, with good time management skills and an ability to prioritise various tasks.
  • Effective team player, supportive of departmental colleagues
  • IT Skills; including Excel, BACS, Exchequer or similar
